A victory that saved humanity from fascism! A victory achieved at the cost of millions of lives and tens of millions of shattered lives! A victory that became a symbol of the courage and heroism of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers! A victory that decades later became Great!
Dear colleagues! Today, we celebrate not just Military Glory Day, but the immortal feat of those who fought against the most bloodthirsty enemy in human history, at the front and in the rear, on land and in the air, above and below the water, even in spirit and in person – the long-standing struggle of our ancestors, young and old, for the sake of those living today – a feat that remains unfaded by the decades. Today, we, the descendants of true heroes, continue this struggle.
With honor and pride, we preserve their feat and protect the historical memory of the Great Victory. And each of us today, I'm sure, will remember with kind words those whose photographs we've treasured for decades. On your behalf and mine, I congratulate all WWII veterans and express my sincere gratitude to those who continue the glorious traditions of their ancestors today. And may peace, tranquility, and comfort always reign in every home of our great country! Happy Victory Day!
Sincerely, Stanislav Sergeyevich Yaryshev.
