Yuzhgazenergy LLC has been granted the right to use the subsoil of the Koshekhablskoye gas-condensate field for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, as well as for the identification and assessment of a reservoir formation suitable for the injection of industrial and domestic wastewater.

The Koshekhablskoye gas-condensate field was discovered in 1974. It is located within the East Kuban oil and gas district of the West Ciscaucasian oil and gas province. Structurally, it is situated in the central, deepest part of the East Kuban Depression.

Gas and condensate are produced from the Oxfordian deposits at the Koshekhablskoye field. In the second quarter of 2014, wells No. 15, 20, and 25 were in operation. Production volumes amounted to 74.455 million cubic meters of gas and 0.54 thousand tonnes of condensate.

Monitoring of groundwater in the Chokrak horizon at the Koshekhablskoye field is underway, alongside environmental safety checks of the potable water horizon using observation wells.
